I lived in Yangon for more than 6 months. When my partner visited me in Myanmar, we only had limited time to travel around because of my work.
Anyway, I’ll share to you how to go through this touristic places in Myanmar within 6 days.
Day 1 – YANGON
A morning walk to Mahabandula Park
Lunch at Kandawgyi Lake

Sacred Night at the Must-See Shwedagon Pagoda

Day 2 – YANGON
Be on time at the Circular Train

A little afternoon walk to Downtown Yangon
and see the sunset at my favourite Inle Lake
Night Train/ Bus / Fly to Mandalay

Day 3 – MANDALAY
Take a rhapsodic visit at the Royal Palace
Hiking at the Mandalay Hill
See the Amarapura White Temple
Day 4 – MANDALAY
Morning Shopping at the Mandalay Market
Walking with locals at the 1.2KM LONG U Bein Bridge
See the Buddha Carvings
Night Van/Bus to Bagan
Day 5 BAGAN
Make sure to welcome the sunrise to see Temples. Temples. Temples.

I am so very jealous. I definitely have it on my bucket list to tour Myanmar and especially to see all of the pagodas in Bagan via Hot Air Balloon! I didn’t even know about the Amarapura White Temple in Mandalay but I am definitely adding that to my Myanmar itinerary! This looks like a a great 6 day itinerary!
