Top 10 Things To Do in Hong Kong with KIDS

The dynamic, vibrant, bountiful HONG KONG is offering bountiful attractions and happy activities, making it a great choice for a family holiday ever since!

Here are the TOP 10 REASONS why you should take your kids to the gorgeous city of the “Fragrant Harbour”!

1. Space Museum

Wanna familiarise your kids with the BIG BANG? Wanna know what astronauts’ favorite food is? Wanna feel what is 10KG when you’re in Mars? Well, my kids know the answers!

2. Ocean Park Adventure

I’ve been to Ocean Park Singapore and Manila, here in HK its different. We’ve seen animals outside the ocean too. Like the hungry panda and sweet little  meerkats! Totally amusing especially when you ride in the cable car to take your to the other mountain full of rides and dolphin shows!

3. Victoria Harbour

HK skyline boasts about 8PM EVERYDAY Symphony of Light Show, 90% of the buildings have their own impressive light skills!

4. Disney Land

Oh – La – La! This one’s my most favorite! I can tell you about our experience but the way everyone feels – that’s what makes it “MAGICAL”. Go and see for yourself!

5. Walk at the HK City Center

Come close to HK’s culture and civilization. Educate your kids and walk your way through the garden parks, small kiosks, street arts, ice cream vendors, vintage taxis and a lot more!

6. Buddha Park

Buddhism plays HK’s main religion – paying a visit to their Big Buddha is considered a tourist must-see list. You can wear shorts and skirts  – also when visiting the temples beside it because hey – it’s Hong Koong!

7. Trekking at the Lantau Trail

Why not take your kids to hike and reward them with a snack at the best view your kid can reach? Recommended for kids age 6+ and up.

8. Ngon Ping 360

A 5.7 KM cable car – enough to see half of HK Island! Travel your eyes as far as you can reach!

See that bridge? It’s the 55-kilometer Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, will be the WORLD’s LONGEST SEA BRIDGE. Yes, it’s a tunnel bridge! Top View from our Silver Cable Car!

9. Temple Street Night Market

Buy some take-home stuffs here! Prices depends on your bargaining skills!

10. The Peak

And finally, you can say that Hong Kong is truly magnificent when you take your family to a ride to the famous “The Peak” to see HK’s skyline. Best time to go at night.

  1. I never knew about the Victoria Harbor light show. That sounds pretty special. We had a 12 hour layover in HK and are now wishing we made it longer. So many things to see.

  2. Hong Kong looks stunning. I’ve wanted to visit for a while because it has such a thriving food scene, but there’s so much more from the Lantau Trail to the Victoria Harbour light show and even the space museum! Thanks for the tips

  3. I was thinking as I started reading the post that these activities are actually meant for kids (and I don’t have any) but as I continued to read, I realised, places like Disneyland, Buddha Park, HK City Centre and Lantau Trail are not just for kids but even I’d love to go to these places! Especially hiking. I am not really much into big cities, I like to explore outside the city, the nature and countryside.

  4. I bet your kids had so much fun at all of those attractions. We took our daughter there on a break when we lived in Mainland China. It was a few years ago and she was 17, but we all still had loads of fun at Disneyland. We were amazed at how clean the train system is and how easy it was to use it.

  5. Wow kids are sure to enjoy these spots. I remember hunting around for such places during our travels.
Great post for families who travel together.

  6. We have been there twice and both times enjoyed thoroughly. I don’t mind going again 🙂 Yes , there are so many things one can do with kids in tow in HK. It definitely has something for everyone.

  7. I think this is a great list for adults too! I’m a big kid at heart, so I know I’d still enjoy Disneyland and Ocean Park. When I finally visit Hong Kong, I think my priority will be the light show on the harbor though. I’ve seen lots of pictures and videos of it so it’s always been high on my list of places to see.

  8. There are so many amazing things to do in Hong Kong. I think these will be equal fun for adults especially the 5.7 kilometer rope way and the longest sea bridge. What an amazing view it will be.
